The YubiKey from Yubico is probably one of the hottest security tokens designed for easy-to-use secure Internet authentication. If you listened to Steve Gibson’s SecurityNow! podcast episode 143 about the exciting YubiKey, then you know the technical details of the wonderfully designed device.

Clavid integrated YubiKey authentication into their professional Clavid OpenID provider allowing secure two-factor authentication requiring a password and the YubiKey one-time token generator. There is no need to type in one-time tokens by hand, simply put your finger on the YubiKey touch sensor and it enters automatically a 44 character one-time token for you. It’s easy and it’s cool!

Biometric authentication solutions get more and more important in these days of phishing and malware attacks. The AXSionics InternetPassport provides biometric two- and three-factor authentication based on users fingerprints without messing around with operating specific drivers and readers. It uses visual server-to-client communication and calculates response codes based on the user’s fingerprints.

Clavid implemented the AXSionics biometric InternetPassport into their OpenID provider allowing users to use their fingerprints on all OpenID enabled web applications.
